Dr. Casas graduated from Northwestern University Medical School and completed both General and Plastic Surgery training at Northwestern University in Chicago. To satisfy her desire to attain the highest level of achievement in cosmetic surgery training and clinical experience, she completed three fellowships at New York University in Cosmetic Surgery of the Face and Body, at St. Joseph Hospital-Emory University in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Breast, and at Southern Illinois University in microsurgery of the hand. She sits on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). She served as president of the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation 2009-2010, the only foundation dedicated exclusively to cosmetic surgery and non surgery research. She is also a National Spokesperson for both ASAPS and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). As a Clinical Professor of Surgery she has lectured all over the world. She serves as the breast section clinical editor of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, has coauthored a textbook on Aesthetic Breast Surgery, has authored many peer reviewed journal articles, and is deeply involved in ongoing research to advance the field of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Casas believes that for most people, there is either a surgical or a non-surgical solution to their aesthetic “problem” which often involves the desire to Look Elegant at Every Age. Her goal is to help each individual reach his or her own goal of managing the aging process.
