In March, 2017, Zeltiq, the developer of Coolsculpting, introduced the CoolAdvantage Petite™ applicator. This is the ONLY upper arm non-invasive fat reduction technology that has been FDA approved.⁷

Coolsculpting uses cryolipolysis which is cold-induced apoptotic fat cell death.¹ The Coolsculpting applicators are placed on the fat which are cooled to a critical temperature that causes cell death and destruction of the fat cells over a few months.⁴

In December 2016, Zeltiq introduced Coolsculpting CooLAdvantage – the newest member of the Coolsculpting family of products designed to reduce unwanted fat cells.
