Question:
To begin, I’m in my early twenties. At this point I don’t realistically need surgical procedures. I’m very well disciplined in no smoking, sleeping on my back, using moisturizer, sun screen and eye cream, 8 glasses of water a day and such. Are their any suggestions you have to aging gracefully at a young age?
Answer:
Sounds as if you’re already doing a great job of taking the extra steps in ensuring you age as gracefully! In addition to what you are currently doing you may want to incorporate the following into your lifestyle to ensure that all bases are covered!
- A healthy diet of 4-5 small meals per day
- A mixture of protein and good carbohydrates and fat each meal
- Daily exercise of resistance training and interval training for 30 mins
- Avoid direct sun to your face and chest unless using 50-60 SPF sunblock applied every 90 minutes
Taking preventive measures now, can reduce the chances of unnecessary damage to complexions in the future, so although you may be doing all you can to reduce the signs of aging - remember genetics along with age and lifestyle do play a key part. Proper care can never start too soon, so I commend you in taking proactive steps in ensuring you keep your vibrant complexion for as long as possible.

Question:
I’m looking to try some chemical peels for my stretch marks before I consider other surgery options, what other treatments are there?
Answer:
Great question! Unfortunately right now there is no reliably treatment for stretch marks. Some laser treatments can decrease the darker stretch marks; but for the whiter stretch marks there aren’t effective treatments.
Now if your stretch marks are in areas which lend themselves to be cut out, such as the lower abdominal area then a tummy tuck may be your best option!

Dr. Casas is quoted in a Web Exclusive with Newsweek about the importance of weighing out the pros, the cons and the long-term consequences of breast implants:
“It’s like any decision you make,” Casas says. “You listen to the pros and cons and you weigh them.”
Since breast implants have boomed in popularity in the past number of years, it is now the most common cosmetic procedure for women; therefore it’s easy to overlook the potential complications involved with this surgery. Dr. Casas adds:
“Women must think of this as a very, very serious decision, because you are electively choosing to put a foreign body in your body, and you have to do it for the right reasons.”
