Do Breast Implants Have To Get Replaced?
Question:
I’ve heard that breast implants have to get replaced every 10 years, is that true and why?
Answer:
This is not true. Breast implants do not need to be replaced every 10 years. However, saline and silicone implants do deflate slightly over time and replacement may be something some women consider. At 10 years the rates are about 10 percent for saline and 15 percent for silicone.
