Dr. Laurie Casas is quoted in a WebMD article that delves into the proper application of plastic surgery. Dr. Casas says that she assesses her patient’s “medical, surgical, psychological, and nutrition history.” She then resolves her patient’s surgical expectations and devotion to pre-and-post-surgical diet and exercise regimens. She admits, “If I remove two to three pounds of fat from their abdomen and they gain 20 pounds, I can’t predict where the weight gain will go.” Most importantly, says Dr. Casas, is to

“Be sure that the procedure you are asking the doctor to do will meet your goals….Make sure that the surgeon you choose is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).”
