Juvéderm ™ and Juvederm Ultra Plus are FDA-approved smooth hyaluronic acid skin fillers that can be used to reduce wrinkles and indentations. Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the human body that acts like a sponge to slightly expand soft tissue. Juvéderm Ultra and Ultra Plus™ are manufactured into a gel and Dr. Casas will inject it into areas that you both feel, once filled, will give you your desired result. Dr. Casas will determine whether you wrinkles or folds will be best treated with the Juvederm Ultra or the Juvederm Ultra Plus. The effects of Juvéderm Ultra and Ultra Plus™ typically last for up to six to twelve months.
Dr. Casas will inject Juvéderm™ when you are in the office or as part of another procedure. Dr. Casas makes every attempt to reduce any pain associated with the procedure. To keep you as comfortable as possible, she applies topical agents as well as ice or injected anesthetics to the areas of concern. After the procedure, patients typically experience minimal discomfort and mild side effects such as bruising, and they are able to immediately return to normal activities. Your results will last up to six months, and most patients benefit from touchup sessions that are progressively spaced farther apart.
