It’s safe to say that trends are shifting and injectable treatments are now “accepted” options for everyday women! The Aesthetic Surgery Education & Research Foundation (ASERF) released results from a recent survey illustrating just that fact.

Have you heard of the cosmetic surgery tax which was part of the recent Senate Health Reform bill?
At the 11th hour, a cosmetic surgery tax provision was slipped in the Senate Health Reform bill. The proposal asks for the consumer who undergoes an elective cosmetic procedure, to pay a 5 % tax to the government for any procedure like Botox, Fillers, Breast Augmentations and Lifts, Tummy Tucks, Facelifts and Body Contouring. Your voices were heard by the Senate. “Botax” the proposed tax on cosmetic procedures was dropped from the Senate health reform legislation… Thousands of citizens, like you, strongly objected to the Botax which as we all know would have been highly discriminatory (primarily aimed at the female population since 86% of all procedures are requested by women, and 91% are working women).
