Question: I’d love to consider doing a few cosmetic “improvements” before the holidays but don’t have much time to commit to a long recovery. I’m wondering if there are outpatient procedures that don’t require extensive recoveries and expenses. What do you recommend for somebody who would like to look refreshed and at her best for the holiday season??

Answer: The holidays are filled with friends, photos, parties…why not do something for yourself that helps you look your best?

I always like to provide options as I believe people have different needs, desires and budgets. There truly is something for everyone and we can modify just about any plan from small to grand.

First, start with skincare and injectable facial shaping agents like Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane, and Neurotoxins like Dysport and Botox. Committing to using good products is key.

Second, I recommend a VI Peel about 1 week before a big event. It is an effective method of deeply exfoliating dead skin cells and reviving a youthful glow. The skin looks fantastic quickly with minimal downtime and no pain during the peel.

Third, if you have 3-4 days to recover and you have an aging neck, consider Liposuction to the Neck – the aging process often shows up in the neck as a bulge or a “turkey” neck, creating an unflattering neck line that can “age” the patient significantly. This is easily rectified and can make a significant difference! The recovery is quick, 2 – 3 days, and the results are obvious in 9-12 weeks.
